Vision: A center where there is provision of quality psychosocial support and livelihood strengthening services helping the community in Uganda particularly in the Northern region of Uganda to attain psychosocial and economic stability.

Background: War Victims and Children Networking (WVCN) is a community based organization operating in Gulu, Amuru, Nwoya, Pader, Kitgum, Lamwo, and Omoro district with its head office located in Plot 25, Commercial Road, Pece Division, Gulu Municipality.

Objectives: WVCN is established to address the following objectives: relieve poverty, advance education to all vulnerable children, promote a sustainable psychosocial well-being of orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs), increase community access and utilization of various health services, equip and empower the community with sustainable income generation activities in Uganda particularly in the post conflict region of Northern Uganda.

Mission: To work in partnership with vulnerable communities and diverse organizations to overcome psychological distress, foster livelihood and economic wellbeing of the community affected by war in Northern Uganda.

We have 46 group members who are in Village Saving and Loan Association in Pece division, Gulu Municipality. They are the core members of War Victims and Children Networking. We have managed to give UGX 10,000,000 shillings (about 2660 USD) to help them in farming activities.

Achievement: Being a community based organization operating in Northern Uganda, we are able to reach out to the vulnerable communities living in our society. So far, we have eight children who are being paid at primary levels in four different schools in Gulu Municipality. We have registered over one hundred students who are children born in the bush during the LRA war in Northern Uganda. However, the majority are not going to school as their mothers cannot afford to pay their school fees. We are advocating for any possible assistance which can support them to study as other children who were born at home normally.
